Nutrition month is celebrated every July under section 7 of Presidential Decree No.491 or the “Nutrition Act of the Philippines, 25 June 1974”. It aims to create awareness of the importance of good nutrition. This year’s theme “Malnutrisyon patuloy na labanan, First 1000 days tutukan” calls for continued efforts to address malnutrition in the country which is expected to worsen as a result of the pandemic and limited resources to nutrition. The theme also calls for all sectors to focus efforts on the First 1000 Days of life as the strategic intervention to prevent stunting and obesity.
To support and celebrate Nutrition Month, the TLE and TVL Department are holding various activities such as nutrition literary and contests for students and cultivate digital to equip them with more specialized skills in the technical and vocational field. All the proposed activities and events were also discussed and developed to meet district and division activities this SY 2021-2022.
Amidst of pandemic, Culiat High School pursues this celebration to promote health awareness and behavior to our students. Even though students are a bit hard to invite, it's just that most of them encountered a problem due to weak internet connection for them to use in vlogging and other related activities.
Through the help of motivating and encouraging students regarding this matter, some students who were eager to participate who are excited did everything to submit and join in all the activities. With the help of TLE Department and sponsors ,especially to those who participated in the said activity , it was indeed a successful Nutrition Month celebration in this year 2021.
